Oil passage ways may be a little clogged?
so my oil passage ways may be a little clogged with sludge( i think)
whats the best way to get rid of sludge
im taking the motor apart this weekend to change almost all the gaskets, water pump, timing belt. etc. so i can do it all at once if i get the right info.
its a 94 ls motor and the problem is my dip stick never clearly reads the oil. ive always checked on a flat surface and i have no leaks. i think i have a clog because the oil is always full when i go to change it but my dip stick never reads it.
any ideas?

Hey, I think ur having the same problem as me. My oil light comes on and flashes bc my oil pump gets clogged. I just dropped my oil pan and cleaned out all the gunk and thick oil. Replaced the oil with a thinner oil & filter, and should fix the problem, if not gonna need oil pump replaced...

i actually dont have the oil light come on at all. If it does, then it only stays on for a split second on a cold start and then nothing. By a split second, i mean 1 second or less.
