OBDI has 2 plugs and OBDII has 1 plug. I dont think there is any internal differences.

Hmm...I don't know if you read my post about my dilemma, but I guess the distributor I got was an LS OBD II distributor. (I have a GSR) There was one plug, and I modified it to the two plugs before checking if it fit on my car. Could I do this to a OBD II GSR distributor and make it work? I'm sorta hesitant to do it cuz of the disaster I caused myself yesterday.

I think you can use an obd2 distributor because both have the same amount of wires. You will need the old plug off of your obd1 distributor, and wire the pinouts to match the engine bay wire harness. If you use an LS distributor you will need to chop off one if the legs to make it bolt up.

What the hell is the difference between the GSR and LS distributor? If it's just the way it bolts up, then why the price difference?

I think the only difference is in the way it mounts and where the legs come off. Maybee different internals, but i dont think so.

But what's with the large difference in price?
It's probably more because it's a gs-R. You know that extra R does wonders. j/k
