New to the JDM life
First off, I guess I should start out with what I've been driving over the past 5 years. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2. 3.0 V6 with 290K. Solid truck, I've done quite a few mods and been fairly forum-active also.
I'm buying my friends 1995 Acura Integra LS. I'm stoked! I've always wanted a teggy, and at least I know the history of this one. I'd say it's about 95% stock, 70k on the engine, needs some TLC. Driving to work and back is costing me about $15/day in the ranger.
She's had it for about 4 years...and it finally happend. Stolen. The car was missing for about 4 days, and during that time we kinda lost hope, and she bought a new car. Well...today we got the call we've been waiting for..."We found your car"....and fully intact, just about. The outside keyhold is a little jacked...and they look the radio...but left a different one in the car (Other than personal contents thrown all over). She confronted them right before they sped off, and we are assuming why that's why the car was just dumped right up the road.
Right when we picked it up. I'm signing papers in a few days, just going to work on cleaning it and everything until then.

Re: New to the JDM life
I want to do basic things like HID's, tint the windows, speakers and a new deck, wheels. Maybe do some leather seats.
I don't want to get too into the lowering / engine mods and everything like that. I need to keep MPG's. Just want a clean stockish ride haha.

Re: New to the JDM life
first you should get a good alarm, incase they decide to steal it again
look on your local craigslist for gsr seats, they are usually leather.
and ive heard mixed review on putting hids in the oem integra projector lights, i dont see how it would be bad, maybe someone else will chime in.
your plans sound good

Re: New to the JDM life
Haha welcome Aaron! Funny enough, you have/had the same vehicles I have/had...
My wife drives my old 2002 Ranger XL 3.0 V6 with only 90k (I hate it...well not really...but, it's been nothing but problems. Had to replace oil switch, cam sync, idler pulley, fuel pump, still has the timing gasket problem common to the 3.0, etc.) I mean yeah it runs well, but after putting way more work into it than I should.
But I drive a 94 LS with 260k and have had no significant maintenance issues.
So if you're coming from the Ranger, you're going to be in for a treat!

Love the wheels and the 98+ haedlights.
The grill/lip....is that also because it's a 98+ front end or is that a custom bumper/grill?
