Hello everybody, i just got my first car about 4weeks ago, 1990 acura integra rs and i want to make a engine swap in the future with a b16 because the b18a1 just isn't gonna cut it for me

Ive been looking at some b16 swaps and i no it will fit very well in my car with just minor adjustments. But i was wondering if all types of b16 engine's will fit well in the car because i looked it up and theres different types of b16's.. for exemple B16A, B16A1, B16A2, B16A3, B16A4 and the other models including the B16B (type-r)

Do they all fit with minor adjustments and which one is best?

And heres a picture of my car the first day i bought her (i no its nothing special for now lol)

all the b16's will drop in might have to get different mounts of course and jumper harnesses.
but alot of people say the b16 doesnt perform that great in the DA due to the weight of the car. its not a real drastic increase and hp and you lowering your torque, but to each his own.
there are tons of b16integra vids on youtube and they look like the perform well

clean da looks good. my buddy has a da with a b16a2 with chrome and it performs good. its pretty quick

I am not to in to the b16 my self i would look in to a poor mans type r of maybe an lsvtec that is what i would do if i did a 5sp swap in my da but i am staying auto and bending the rules some for fun

It as only 2 small rust spots.. so yeah she's pretty clean!! i bought it of my grandma belive it or not! :p

clean DA to start with. I think you'll want a few boltons for the B16 once you get it in. It will be pretty good in your car, but you'll probably want to increase TQ along with adding some more HP.

Looks like a nice place to start, you should be able to make B18a or B16_ "fun". The transmission would make more of a difference. I say "fun" because I'm not sure what you want out of it.

leave the b18 they have good potential along with better torque...but dont go throwing alot of cash into ur first car trust me i did to mine and somebody slamed on their brakes in front of me on the highway in the rain and caused me to total it trust me its not worth it lol keep it stock for awhile until u know its time!

hey man nice car I got 1 just like it.. but if I where u I would go with a GSR B18C.. thats what I got.. they have like 20 more hp stock compared to the b16.. and my car pulls good!! I also herd that b16's dont go well with the DA's so if your thinking of a swap go with the B18 vtec..

dude whatever man get what u think its right to all its own people talk about b16 this b18 that b20 maybe if you built any b series motor the right way and a good tune you got yourself a hell of a motor so go with your instinct i was like u at first going with what he said she said and ****ed many motors but you learn from your mistakes now i am running a boosted gsr tuned and running 10s hells yeah heres a vid enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vO0t...eature=related

I got a question tho... is this a 1992 Acura Integra GS-R Hatchback (DA9)? or a is it a 94-01 Type-R? I got in a argument with a friend and i think it's a Type-R... The link is below

I have a B16A (1st gen) in my DB1 and I love it, super cheap to get one in a DA as well.
Well for starters a 92 gsr is a DB2 not a DA but w/e its just a chassis code, and that car in the link is a 94+ integra, not a type-r, its only a 4 lug and its left hand drive with the JDM ITR front end, so its a clone not the real thing.

if you are willing to spend the money on a b16b... then you might as well buy b18c5 for a few more bucks... /thread.

I'd say go with a B18C, even if it's a GS-R motor. Why go with less displacement?
