Default My DB7 project. From JRSC LS to LS/Vtec ***boost returning soon***

Heres my 1997 DB7 teg. Original motor had 206,xxx miles on it when it spun a bearing. Took my buddies LS engine from his 96 DC and had it built. Heres the list of parts (I'll just list the major stuff used)

Bottom:
Weisco 82mm 9.5:1 flat top pistons
Eagle H Beam connecting rods
Stock LS crank balanced and micropolished
Top:
Crower dual valve springs with TI retainers
Crower stage 2 cams
3 angle valve job (stock valves)
Hondata s200
Jackson Racing Supercharger with 3.2 dia pulley

So I take the car and get it dyno tuned. Very disappointing numbers. Car should have been making around 8 psi but only peaked at 5psi and only put 145whp and 124tq down. At that point I decided to get rid of the supercharger. I found a really good deal on a PR3 head here locally. Complete head with VC, IM, and distributor for $200. I then purchased the GE LS/V conversion kit with ARP head studs. Heres the pics of the LS/V conversion.

I also now have a Garrett T3/T4 57 trim turbo on the way from a member off of another forum I am a member of so I will be boosted yet again real SOON. I cant wait

First removal of the LS head:

I sold the head but I still have these stage 2 cams if anyone is interested PM me $200 OBO

Now install of the PR3 head:

I'll post up new pics as soon as my turbo arrives.

why was there so much coolant on the pistons after you took the head off?

Are those the Avid mounts? If so, they look pretty good.

Did you get it tuned again? You should but since you're running the low compression pistons, you won't be making a lot of power. I know you're waiting for your turbo kit, but the motor should still be tuned.

I didnt completely drain the block before pulling the head off the block so that was just some run out coolant left in the head and around the sleeves. I got it all out before putting the B16 head on.

The mounts are just some knock off mounts that have energy suspension inserts in them.

I didnt get it dyno tuned but had a new chipped burnt since I went back to stock injectors and all. Right now the car isn't as fast as it could be since its N/A with low CR but it still ***** and gets! I cant wait to get this 57 trim on. I have the turbo on the way now I just need to get everything else to put it on.

Funny thing this just happened to my friend with a set of AEM Blue adjustable. Only a boosted sohc it ended up slipping and tearing some of the metal rendering it useless. Is this an on going problem?!

I've had them on for about 3 months now and I visit 7 - 8 grand on the rpm gauge quite often lol and so far so good. I just like being able to adjust the power band with them and I have the adjuster bolts torqued down pretty good
