Default My car won't start - getting really tired of push starting

So - when I try and turn my 95 LS on, it just clicks like there is no battery - i've checked the ground and the electrical lines and they are all fine - so i ordered a starter off of ebay like 2 weeks ago - and have been push starting it every day since then.

Well two days ago I got teh starter in the mail - the starter was from a 93... but i was told that the b18a starters worked on my b18b...

It still won't start - it seems like the starter isn't getting any electricity at all - now my starter only has one electrical hookup going to it.... Is there something i'm missing here?

I can really use any ideas - one thing i'm curious about - maybe the relay for the clutch signal isn't going through - and that's why it's not starting - if that's the case what do I look for to see if its not working?

that's one of your problems, unless you get the exact year starter you'll never know for sure if that is the problem to begin with. BTW OBD1 starters should have at least two wires going to the starter: big wire is the power wire and small wire is the solonoid wire(black & white wire).

i don't understand whyh if starters are interchangable - like between 94 and 94 b18b's you'd need to have one or the other...

but hey, looks like I only have one wire attached to the damn thing - the power wire - so where does the black and white wire come off of the wireing harness - that is where it is right?

yes it's coming from the wiring harness, same place where the power wire is coming from.

Well, ****.

Thanks guys for answering the easy questions - I just went out to the car in the freezing rain with my friend, and we found the missing solinoid wire... and plugged it in... and bingo - it started.

So once again, I appreciate it.
