Re: (9000rpms)
50 weight is kinda heavy. I'd stick to 5w30 or 10w30. I use Mobil 1 5w30 myself.
Synthetic oil could only be bad for the car if it's a pretty high mileage engine and hasn't been on synthetic its whole life. Synthetic oil can dissolve carbon deposits that are maintaining the piston ring seal. This means that if you use synthetic after using organic for a long time on a high mileage engine, using synthetic can actually cause your car to start burning oil.
I got my GSR with 28k on it and have been using synthetic ever since.

it doesn't matter what he used to put just drain it out and put in the 5w30 full synthetic. It wont hurt the car unless you got 150,000 miles or so on it and you finally are changing to the better things in life.

if you dont run in hot weather or your car hard you dont need thick oil. use 5w30 it is what the manufacturer recommends. mobil1 is bitchen oil.

randombvr;
I use Castrol Syntec 5w-50 in my 95 GS-R Sedan. I won't go into why I use it, but I will provide you with a link with some information for you to check out;
http://www.castrol.com/castrol...06933
I live in the Sacramento area and it can get very hot in the summer and get pretty cold in the winter. I've been using Castrol Syntec 5w-50 for a little over a year, all year around and it's been working really well for me, good luck in your choice of oil...
Peace Out

Re: Mobil Oil (Elfstone)
I switched from mobil 1 5w30 to castrol syntec 5w30 recently, heard syntec doesnt burn as much as mobil 1. Guess it happens though when you rev to 9k.
