Mixing brake fluids?
hey...i just did a search on this and couldn't find anything in recent or archived topics. my integra's brake fluid is getting kind of low and I was just wondering if I could add any DOT3 or DOT4 fluid on top of whats already there, or would I have to bleed the brakes and add all new fluid? Also, if the fluid in there is currently DOT3, could I mix it with DOT4? thanks

Re: Mixing brake fluids? (Osman)
If I'm not mistaken, you can mix DOT3 and DOT4. If you're low on fluid, you can just add more. No need to bleed the brakes unless you want to totally remove all the fluid currently in your system and/or you feel you have air pockets in your lines.
