Re: Jet coating? (Nighthawk GS-R)
http://www.jet-hot.com is the one company that does jet coating. That's their actual name for the process.
I haven't done it myself, I've heard of people who have done it and loved the parts they got back. They have several versions, some coming in different colors (kind of neat if you want your valve cover done, I'd think) and temperature ratings.
They say it will lower the exterior temperature of the part that's coated, though I personally think the bigger advantage is increased part life due to corrosion resistance. They also sell new headers that they've pre-coated, you have to get in touch with them for quotes.

Re: Jet coating? (01GSR)
i had my dc headers done by the type of company here in connecticut. the headers where mild steel and they started to rust, so i had the welds redone and had em coated with the sterling...it had a nice shiny polished look and have yet to discolor like stainless steel. i paid 100$ for the weld and coating job, and they coat the outside AND inside of the header. worth every penny.
