Integra Starting Problem (yes i searched)
ok so sometime i go to start my teg and it will crank and turn over fine, but sometime i will turn the key and nothing happens, i know it is not that battery..nor do i think it is the starter because it seems if i jiggle the key around in the ignition that the car will then start to crank...i dont know if this means it is the ignition switch?? can someone clarify what the problem is?? thanks.

Describe your jiggle a little more.
Do you mean trying to crank it numerous times??
Or do you mean wiggle it back and fourth while cranking it??

Re: Integra Starting Problem (LSracing94)
It sounds like the ignition switch is the most likely candidate. If it does nothing at all until the wiggling in the cranking position it's suspect. If you're able to borrow an ignition switch from a friend (maybe offer to buy them lunch to let you test it for a few minutes) that's the best way to find out.
If you have a helm manual (or you have an online copy of one) it outlines a method to test if it works or not. It involves testing the various leads for continuity I think that might help you diagnose it. The biggest catch is no parts stores I know of will return electrical parts once opened/installed.
You can try removing the ignition switch and check the contacts/terminals inside the plastic casing. Sometimes when they start going bad it will look worn/corroded inside, I've tried cleaning them before but it has never worked for me other than complete replacement.
Good luck!
hope these help:

sounds like when the starter went out in my accord. if i tried to turn the key a bunch more times it would eventually start to crank. when you jiggle the key, does it crank normally or start to crank reluctantly? by the way, if you pull your starter, most parts stores will test it for you for free.
