Integra stalls out when ac turns on
Ok here it goes.... The car used to run with no problems then recently it started to stall out and die whenever the ac is.running. Now it still has the same problem but it also started to bog through rpms when accelerating. Any ideas?? I checked the dizzy cap and there's no signs of rust or anything. I've been out of the car scene for a while so I don't really have any ideas on what to check, any opinions would be appreciated.

does it die at idle when a/c is turned on? If so then it might be the clutch on the compressor. If there was no grinding noise prior to the start of your problem and you can't see any yellowish oil leaking from your compressor or any of the hose lines to the heater core or the coils up front then it might be the clutch. I have seen bad wiring do the same thing when you have an amp and big speakers and not enough juice to run all of it your a/c can drag the amps down to kill it.

It's a 99 ls, with no mods. Its not running any subs or amps either. But to answer your question yes, if your just sitting at idle and turn the ac on it will shut off. There is no yellowish liquids coming out of the compressor either.

Checking the codes wouldn't hurt either. Snce aC puts a load on the vehicle, if something else is malfunctioning, the load may be exposing it

start the car and disconnect the battery if it stays running the alternator is charging and working fine. What I was saying when the a/c is turned on the clutch might not be cycling. You need to have someone sit in the car and you need to watch the a/c compressor, have them turn it on. If it wants to grab and stalls the car, your clutch is gone. Does everything else run fine without the a/c?
