Default Integra Ls vtec

I have a 94 integra ls. I have a few questions. It has a b18b1 block with b16 head and transmission. First question is what wiring harness would be best if I were to swap out the harness (Wiring is a complete mess) Second question I guess goes with my first question, What ecu should it be running on? Should I just get the ecu chipped? And my last question is I have a check engine light for intake air temperature. But theres no spot on the intake manifold for that sensor, but im pretty sure the plug is still hanging there connected to the harness.... Any help much appreciated. Sorry if these are dumb questions im still pretty confused. Thanks

Heres the code stamped on back of intake manifold

Front view of intake manifold

Heres some of the mess of wiring I was talking about

More of the mess of wiring (I'm missing the reservoir for clutch)

And the pic of where that sensor should be but isn't

ahhh I see afaik the IAT should be stuck in the intake arm BUT that horrendous wiring makes me think it's been cut off. can you find any loose end wires(I know that will be hard) looking at your bay. if you're looking for a harness this is the one I have and am really happy with it http://www.rywire.com/catalog/budget...ess-p-160.html

Dang that's a bit pricey... haha... that might have to wait a little bit... I was thinking about just tucking my bay... What would be my best solution other than that harness? Would I be able to get a different manifold? if so which one would I wanna get? Its a b16 head. Or would I be better off going with something else? I hate seeing a check engine light... haha

Ya I just like it cause it's already to be tucked and is brand new so no brittle wires/loom/connectors, u could source out a non destroyed integra one on ebay or craigslist. For the manifold a P72(ITR) or an aftermarket skunk2 or an edelbrock performer X.

Alright... I think I just seen a skunk2 pop up locally... I can use any harness? Or should I try to find a gsr harness so vtec is already wired? Or should I just get an ls one and wire vtec? A better question I guess is what would be easiest

An ls harness will probably be less $ of the bad and if you're ok with basic wiring. Easiest tho would be to find a gsr or itr(someone will want an arm and leg tho) one and use that altho I think the 92-95 civic's that came with VTEC harness's will plug n play too.

Alright... and the gsr or type r harness will work with all my sensors I have now with no problems? and will work with my p28? Or should I find a different ecu to use?

94-95 a lot more limited window sadly 96-98 is obd2a and 99-00 is obd2b just if you were ever wondering. no keep your ECU it's fine.

the thing is if you use an obd2-A/B harness is your obd1 alt, dizzy and injectors plugs won't fit plus you'd have to shell out for the jumper. and you'd have 2 extra plugs for the CPS and 2ndary o2

it's not that simple when you have an obd1 engine and are trying to use a obd2a/b harness see my quoted post.

ok... so I need to find a 94-95 integra gsr or type r harness and all of it will be direct hook up, no need to wire vtec separately. Its straight in and done. But if I find an ls harness I need to wire the vtec? correct?

ITR's never came in obd1 I didn't see you were on obd1 till after I posted that.

Yes your ideal bet is a 94-95 gsr harness 2nd best is an 94-95 ls harness.

or a 92-95 civic Si harness afaik.

What bout a 92-95 civic ex harness? isn't ex just the coupe model of the si... I think I do have an si harness laying around but its all chewed up (From my wrecked si)... So to recap I want either a type r, skunk2.... intake manifold, find a 94-95 gsr harness, 92-95 civic ex or si harness or a 94-95 ls harness but ill have to wire the vtec, and keep my ecu. Should I get it chipped by someone for dohc instead of sohc or would that do nothing?

sorry Si in Canada is your ex we call the Si a SiR but yah, yes that's correct as for chipping(basemap) yes that should have been done already when you went ls/V.

there should be 2 alt plus instead of one and the alt plug will be round instead of sqaure.

I bought the car with it already ls/v... haha... so get my ecu chipped, get a ex or si (US model) 92 to 95 civic harness or 94-95 gsr harness, and an aftermarket intake manifold... got it
