blue smoke is caused by engine oil entering the cylinder area and being burned along with the fuel air mixture. i suggest you check your o-rings/piston rings or gaskets.

but why would it be valve seals when he's got the throttle plate open and its suckin air that way.... usually valve seals can be noticable after the car has sat for a while and then when starting it up it puffs out a little blue smoke from where it leaked into the cylinders or when your going down a big hill (like in 4th) and your cruising at higher rpms off the throttle there will be alot of vacuum from where the pistons are try to suck air into the cylinders and the plate is closed so its will slowly suck a little oil past the valve seals and when you get to the bottom of the hill and give it some gas it will puff out a little smoke again...... just my .02
