intake manifold removal.
my head gasket just went at 193k i already have my head off and im waiting for my new gasket kit.
but my question is whats the easiest way to remove/install the manifold. i had a hell of a time getting to the lower 4 nuts.
its a B18b

DEFINITELY install the IM with the head off the car! I removed and installed my IM over Thanksgiving so I could replace all the coolant hoses on the back of the block, and it took HOURS to get it all back together. Take it from me, put the IM on the head while still out of the car, then drop them both in together as a unit.
That is, unless the weight of the IM could possibly cause problems when tightening down the head studs/bolts. I'm not sure about that. Maybe someone else can comment?
