Default Installing new brake pads & rotors for 1st time

I'm pretty sure my car is going to need new brake pads, and I plan to get around to doing them this weekend... I have never replaced brake pads before, but I've heard that it's very easy. What do I need so that I can replace my brake pads? My front rotors are slightly warped, so I'd like to replace them too, if it's not too expensive. How difficult is that? And what would I need to do it?

Would any of the usual parts stores (Napa, AutoZone, Checker, CarQuest, Advance, etc) have decent pads and rotors for an Integra? I'm planning to just stay with stock rotors/pads unless I can find decent aftermarket ones for not much more money. Are the dealer prices on pads/rotors reasonable or completely insane as usual?

Weston: heres a link for the procedure.. i figure its easier to understand w/ pix and text than if i just described it..

http://www.bseries.net/html/garage/brakes.php

as for pads and rotors.. go to http://www.collettimotorsports.com they have the Brembo OE BLanks/Solids for $28/ea + $10 ea shipping.. the rears are $20/ea for the brembos..and if u buy 4 at once.. they knock of $10 ship.. and you can also get Hawk HPS (Street performance) or HP+ pads if you want.. for around $80 I think..

you can also go to http://www.performancemotorcars.com they have the brembo blanks for like $34.XX/ea.. but shipping on orders over $50 are free shipping.. so if you order 2 rotors.. u get free shipping and thats $69 shipped.. (vs $76 from above)..

i've also heard summit racing.. has them for like $32 or sumthing. i forget..

I've never used the auto parts store (Kragen/Checker/Shucks/Advance Auto/Autozone/Pep boys/etc..) rotors... I've used performance Friction (from autozone) and Raybestos PG Plus brake PADS or sumthing on other cars and they seem to be fine.. they come w/ a lifetime warranty too... but I use Hawk pads and Brembo blanks on my car...

Getting rotors from any of those NAPA-type stores should be fine.

As for pads, what kind of driving do you do? For simple daily-driving, go for stock pads along with a complete flush of the brake system. Contact A&H (http://www.ahmotor.com) for the pads. They'll take care of you.

The install is extremely easy. Just have a Helm's or Hayne's manual with you.

The only tool you'll need outside of all the typical sockets, ratchets, & torque wrench is an impact driver to get the rotor retaining screws out.

And I'm not sure how it is on the Integra's, but the with rear brakes on a Prelude you need to rotate the piston to compress it for the new pads - this is a pain in the ***. But there's a stupid little brake piston tool you can get for like $8 at Autozone. It's a weird little cube thing with bumps all over it. Attaches right to a ratchet, and makes compressing the piston MUCH easier. Hard to explain, but very handy.

The same brake piston is on the rears of the GSR..You can just turn it in with a flat head..I just did mine..Real easy.

hey, I replaced my pads for the first time on my 5speed 2 door LS at 90k for the first time and also replaced my rear pads for the 2nd time then too. I haven't turned or replaced my rotors yet and they are fine. I now have 110k. Are you sure your rotors need replacing? are they shaking when applying brakes at high speeds? why not just turn them?
