Input shaft bearing or throw-out bearing?

Input shaft bearing or throw-out bearing?
OK, I've been having these symptoms on my RS 1995 (80,000 miles) since 6,000 miles now, and it's driving me crazy! I searched for an answer in the forum but I'm confused now. Here are the symptoms:
1-When I start the car in cold mornings, i hear a weird loud noise only when the engine starts
2-At idle, foot off the clutch, there is a whining/groaning noise under the hood, especially when the car is cold. When I give some gas, the noise seems to disappear
3-When the car is warm, this noise is almost not perceptible (you can only hear it from outside); When I give some gas, the noise completely disappears
4-When I take my foot off the clutch (especially when car is warm), I hear a change in the noise of the car (seems like a whining noise. metal to metal...)
5-When I press on the clutch, this noise COMPLETELY disappear, and I don't haer any noise while pressing on the pedal
6-When I engage the clutch (while in first gear), I hear a clicking noise right when the clutch engages (this problem seems to be common)
7-Sometimes, when I decelerate at low speeds (1st or 2nd gear and foot off the clutch), I can hear the clicking
Those are all the symptoms... I hope i can get an answer to that problem that is driving me crazy!!
I just hope it's not a bearing in the tranny!

sorry to say this, but you input shaft bearing is toast.
With clutch pedal on floor, the shafts in the tranny stop spinning. If the noise stops, then it is a bearing INSIDE the tranny.

Damn, sorry RS1995. Do you have an B18C in your car or non-VTEC? If it is the stock tranny at least it will be cheaper than a new GSR tranny.
My noise was only at idle in nuetral when it started but as it got worse it didn't matter if the clutch was in or not, if fact I remember the last time I drove the car holding the clutch down did not stop it. Guess I just got my paranoid justification to change my MTF more often when I get the new clutch installed.

Ok, so I need to change the input shaft bearing.
1-How much will it cost me in labor and pieces??
2-If I don't change it, is it bad for the transmission, or other pieces?? (let's say i change it in 15,000 miles only...I already did 6,000 miles with this noise and it hasnt amplified)

Car goes into the shop tomorrow, I'm assuming it's the clutch release bearing. I'm looking at around $600 bucks for parts and labor.

Sounds like a bad input shaft bearing. My friends civic also had the same symptoms and it was a bad input shaft bearing.
