Learn how to weld too, thats the fun part of working on cars. you run into obstacles and you figure them out.
I didnt know how to weld either but i knew that if I messed up, i could grind the nasty weld away and try again. Plus, you will be a lot more happy when its finally done.

Just a little advice. If you do happen to get a full paint job after the install then for god sake PLEASE shave the mouldings! Seen too many nice JDM front end integras only ruined by the hideous side mouldings.

Yeah... But it just doesn't work with JDM front ends.
Can you explain why Type-R's (USDM) don't have it?

Im not sure about USDM but I believe they stop putting them on after a certain year? Well atleast thats the case for where I live, as soon as the JDM front appeared the side mouldings did the opposite and disappeared

Hey! Im willing to help you out. I installed my JDM front end in my backyard. I'll do it for $100 bucks, there is a alot of cutting/drilling involved. I live near the O.C. too...

Exactly, if you can do basic body work (which this is) you can do it. It's fun, you save money and you learn something.

yeah, go with the guys suggesting to work on it yourself. you'll save a deal of money. and you'll be happier with the outcome. peeps in my area were paying 1000 to 3000 for install and paint. i'm getting my weld done for 300 and then full paint job for 300 and all i have to do is strip paint and prep and he'll shoot. saved some cash for my next ride.

Yea, they're pretty much a custom body/paint shop. They've done a couple JDM conversions already. I know two cars from Denver were done by this shop, and my buddy went to these guys to do his S13 Silvia front end conversion.

How much would you charge to rip my USDM radiator support T-bar and weld in the JDM part? That's all I have left to do to my DC2, as I've got the fenders, hood, bumper support and reinforcement, and everything else installed. Also, do you know of any good paint shops in your area?
