iacv not working Code 14 after skunk2 install!!!
Ok, did the skunk2 on my 96 GSR few weeks ago, when doing the install I noticed that the IACV wires were too short, since the height of the skunk2, the manifold and IACV moved up higher.
So.... what I had to do was extend the two wires, the black w/ blue and Yellow and black wires. I guess I may not have taped up the wires good, and there was a short which I only disovered till today.
BTW, I found out that when there is a short between the iacv wires, the CEL will not turn on, which is what stumped me why the car was running shitty when the AC was on.
I opened up the spliced I did to see if that was causing the problem, I discovered the short and as soon as I separated the wires, to test, the CEL came on. The Code was 14 or IACV.
I thought I had a bad IACV, so I borrowed one off my friend's 2000 LS and swapped mine to his car. But No, the IACV worked fine in his car and when I put the known good IACV on mine it did the same thing.
So now if someone has any ideas why I am still Getting CEL Code 14 for IACV that would be great. This problem is pissing me off, and am kind of wishing i did spent all this money to screw up my perfectly working car.

Did you try to reset your computer yet? If the CEL went away after you did this, then you just had a loose wire or something. Most of the time if you have a check engine light, you should try to reset the computer first. This will help determine whether or not if it was just an intermittent failure.
One way to check if the IACV is working or not is to disconnected the plug while the car is running (fully warm). If the RPM drops, you should be able to hear it, then the IACV is still working. Another way is to add a jumper wire temporary to pin A12 and A10 of the ECU. If you hear it click everytime you jump it, than it's working. Hope that helps.
