I just bought an all stock 1992 Integra GS-R!
I stumbled across this beautiful 1992 Integra GS-R yesterday. I had to buy it. Its a one owner dealer serviced California car. Not a single spot of rust or corrosion any where on the car. The Interior is like new. Even still has the factory radio. It does have higher miles, 235,000. But it sure doesn't show it.
Here is a list of the flaws.
The clear coat on the roof and spoiler is gone bad, but I am getting it repainted (only those panels the rest of the car looks great).
The AC doesn't work, it appear to have a leak. The freon is low.
Also the car doesn't feel like it quite has the power it should. Like maybe the fuel filter is dirty. I will have to figure that one out.
But aside from those few flaws, the car is perfect. It drives like a brand new car.

Re: I just bought an all stock 1992 Integra GS-R!
I know! Here's the story. It was a trade in at a local Ford Dealer. They sent to an auto auction. I just happened to be at the auction when they drove it in. I work for a dealer. So I told my boss I wanted the car, and he agreed to let me buy it if I paid him a fee. So I had the auction contact the Ford Dealer and after going back and forth all day, we finally agreed on a price. I was very excited to get a GS-R. It will remain completely stock. And I am going to keep it in my garage as a weekend car.

Thanks everyone for the comments. And yes I really am going to keep it stock. I am even having the dealer that did all the service on it continue doing the service work. I have an appointment on Tuesday to bring it in for an oil change and inspection.
da9licious, thanks. I do realize what this car is, and thats why I was so hot to buy it. It will live a nice life here with me. It wont be abused, modified, or trashed. I will fix the few problems it has and preserve this beauty.

Wow that's ridiculously cheap for a car that is impossible to find and even more impossible to find in such good condition. What are the chances?

Nice! I like white. I have a white CRX, its looks clean on Hondas/Acuras.
Awesome. Do you have a build thread? I would be interested in seeing that!
Thanks, I know it was crazy cheap. I was willing to pay much more. I would say the chances are like one in a million. I have worked in the car industry for over 10 years and never seen a 92-93 GS-R for sale. But with all those years at auctions, being around tons of cars, I am bound to get lucky once. I am not a dealer, but I was lucky enough to have dealer as a client that would by the car for me. I had to pay them $200 for doing it. But still well worth it. After I got done buying the car, paying auction fees, dealer fees, smoging the car, tax and reg, etc, I will have $2,000 in the car just to get it in my name. But hey still a great deal.

I bought it by doing what is a called a midweek sale. Basically I had the auction phone the dealer and ask what their buy it now price would be. I was lucky they threw out a low figure. They probably had no clue what they had. Had it actually crossed the auction block it might have brought a ton more. I was just lucky to spot it the second it showed up at the auction. It was in a load of other trade ins.

i was working and locating/registering the cars that dealers bring in. i saw this four door teg, and said "wonder if it's a gsr?" well it was. took it out of the line up, took it for a spin around the lot. parked it at it's registered spot. looked up the suggested price, and which dealer it was. the car had it's issues, and was a trade in for a newer lexus. it cost me, for a 94 4door gsr with 150,xxx miles, $2100, but after tags, n taxes (didn't get too much of a discount) $2600.
gotta also think, this was 5 years ago. i don't work at the auction anymore.

90_EX_Civic great story. Sounds about like what happened to me.
Well life isn't a fairytale anymore. The GS-R died. I just rebuilt the complete AC system and was taking the car for a drive when all the sudden, the car shut off, just like someone turned the key off. I coasted to the side. The car would not restart. After hours and hours of testing I believe I have traced the problem to a bad ECM.
