Default Adjusting Valve Lash

Ive seen it here before but couldn't find the link.....How do you make your own tool for the GSR dont you like bend a wrench or somthing? Thanks I need to adjust this and am too cheap to get the right tool.

5 hours is hardly long enough.


You can either use a blow torch and make your own tool out of a 10mm socket (I did that one)

Or there is a tool you can buy, search honda acura net for it, it was posted maybe a month ago.

Either way, get a tool of some kind or its a BITCH.

Hmmm...That is a really good idea! What did you use to bend the wrench? blow torch on low?

I just brought it to my exahust shop and had them do it for me. Just make sure the closed end of the wrench is bent short enough to fit inside the small area of our engines.

I screwed up 3 wrenches because I bent them wrong.

If you're going to bend one, make sure you do it VERY close to the end because it won't fit otherwise.

The bent wrench method is extremely difficult to use. A valve adjusting tool is MUCH easier. Too bad Harbor Freight doesn't sell their 4-piece set for $25 anymore. Good thing I bought mine when I did.
