Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
Perfect timing- I thought my clutch was dead. I popped the hood, checked the resevoir and it was dry..
Good pictures, great write up
EDIT: What was the size (length wise) of the line end to end? Thanks

Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
Is there any true gain in performance switching to the s2k unit or just the simple fact that it really cleans up the engine bay. I can't justify spending extra money to clean up my engine bay when I just daily drive the hell outta my current car
Thoughts?

I'm not sure if there is any real performance gain to doing this but my clutch feels very nice now. It's hard to tell if this is because of the s2000 MC or just the fact that my old one was shot. I bought the car with a bad MC so I have nothing to compare.

Well put it this way. I was going to pay a shop over $200 for parts and labor to replace the old one. I was able to do this for around the same price and clean up the bay.

I think I'm just going to stick with the standard Integra one. Your install was pretty sweet though- I'll give you that!

Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
Is there an advantage of going with the stock S2K unit versus a Omni unit?
I'm liking my Omni CMC on my J32 6spd so far, figured it might help others out too to be aware of that option. Is the stock S2K CMC the usual 5/8" bore size or is it closer to the 21mm bore found in the Omni CMC?
A few links and prices w/the OMni unit
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Omni-...item3ca810312c
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...7&catcgry3=2DR S2000&catcgry4=KA6MT&catcgry5=CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ( 04-)&vinsrch=null
So $125+$37 so close to $170 for everything.

Ive never tried the omni one but I can't see it making a huge difference than the OEM one, The omni one also doesn't come with resevoir.

I wasn't personally the first one to think of this, I have no idea who thought about it but who ever did was probably just thinking about cleaning up the engine bay and having cylinder and reservoir in one.

To anyone doing this,
MAKE SURE YOU ADJUST THE PUSH ROD ON THE CMC CORRECTLY OR U CAN RISK BURNING UR CLUTCH OUT FROM IMPROPER ENGAGEMENT.

If you haven't gotten one already, the spacer is also the exact same as a 38mm wastegate flange. You can get them cheaper than if you looked for it as a "spacer"and they are exactly the same thing.

Is it possible to use the stock hard line to connect to the S2000 clutch master or are the fittings a different size necessitating the use of a custom braided soft line?

Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
mine fits with no spacer 95dx. but i have full travel and not good clutch engagement.
with spacer i have like 5mm of pedal travel. (yes braided line is bled)
maybe use spacer but twist the pedal connection out

New Question about OMNI and OEM.
Post #43 says no spacer is required with the OMNI s2k-cmc.
Can anyone confirm this?
I won't have to purchase the s2k spacer from CheckeredSports.com if I get the omni s2k-cmc?

u can always use washers for a spacer. also other brands out there make spacers cheaper.
the only way to check is to see s2k and Omni rod. which is longer. s2k is longer hence need for spacer. if Omni is shorter you don't need a spacer.
also I remember them making them for EG too not needing a spacer. but they are cheap enough to jump on and make work

Omni Clutch Master Cylinder - Omni Power Clutch Master Cylinder
says spacer needed for non EG type cars.
https://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-d...pacer-3066913/
you can tell from Omni. with Omni EG replacement you don't need a spacer

Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
Thanks. Now i see on the redlinemotive.com site you linked, they dont include a spacer with the cmc-eg or the cmc-s2k. i have an eg, so i'm convinced i won't need a spacer. I've ordered the omni-power cmc-s2k, because the omni cmc-eg is nowhere to be found. (i understand omni fixed their leak problem, yall may have heard about)
so i'm gonna be using this guide to do a self-install.
this guide seems to say replacing the hard-line is optional? Would I HAVE to replace the hard-line for the clutch fluid? What are the benefits, besides cleaning up your engine bay and having new lines?
Also, the OMni cmc-s2k doesnt come with a reservoir. Can i use the one that's on my car now somehow or what do i do there, buy a reservoir from the next generation?

Re: How To: s2000 Clutch Master Cylinder into DC/EG
use the smallest bottle(reservoir) on your MC. you don't HAVE to replace your line. I always swap to a ninja line(full braided line) $40 ebay.
they are cleaner and neater. less weight and clutter.
Omni should provide a little cup deal for fluid. if not. it could be a sealed unit. aka you pump fluid into it with a pump dealy. like a hydraulic system(same thing)
