In the upper right corner, there are 2, I believe 7.5 Fuses and I think they are red. One is for the radio and the other is something else, but pull both of those and leave them out for about 5 minutes or so. Once your done (considering you don't know) let your car idle w/o touching ANYTHING! Wait until your radiator fan kicks on and turns off (more realistic air/heat/etc) to optimize the resetting.

disconnecting the negative battery terminal is too much work for just resetting the ecu since you have to disconnect the positive one and then put on the positive on first and then the negative one. just pull the 7.5A backup fuse.. easy as pie..
