How Often Are Integra's Stolen
I am planning on buying my first Car by the end of this year and I'm thinking whether or not should I buy a Integra over a 97ek, But I'm stuck thinking since I've read about Integra's being stolen quite frequently and the Civic is easy to get into. Oh, and they are going to be stock with minor upgrades.
I can't see anyone stealing her stock car but I just wanted to check to make sure.

Re: How Often Are Integra's Stolen
Integra GSR's and Civic Si's are notorious for getting stolen.
If you have and EX or GS lower models, it is less likely to be stolen, but you always run a risk with most Honda's.

Re: How Often Are Integra's Stolen
Almost any 1999 and older honda is easy to steal. The 2000 and up's have chips in the keys that make things a bit more difficult. If you are worried about you car getting stolen, but you still want a honda, get something newer than a 2001 because the 2001 and up market is harder to move parts on because less parts are compatible with other hondas. Where as almost all 92-95 civic parts are compatible on 94-01 integras, and vice versa. Basically parts off of pre 2001 hondas are more compatible with other hondas. 02-current parts are not as easily interchangeable.

Not everyone steals cars for engines. My '98 EX coupe was stolen for GSR blades, a free (to me) Sony Xplod CD player, an AEM CAI and one taillight.

Either one you have a chance of it getting stolen i know people that have a nice car and park it outside and nothing had happen, my self i had a eg hatch for 3 months new wheels new paint job , alarm and it got stolen.
Things that will make the risk higer:
nice wheels
nice paintjob
nice seats
nice interior parts that can been seen from the outside
if you go to car meetings
if you post your car pics online
if you talk to random people about how cool and fast your car is
IF YOU ARE BOOSTING!
if your car doest sleep in your garage
there is some theifs that just drive around till they see a nice car that looks worth and easy steal later on.
Pretty much if your looks nice , they are going to want it.
You just have be careful good luck man! Get an alarm make sure they hide it good with some sensors! get a steerting wheel club, some kill switches

Do a search here on HT and other forums...type in "stolen" and see how many threads pop up. Its actually more than any other car enthusiast community.

actually it's just pretty specific. a LOT of the in and out of jail guys seem to love civics and integras. well that and the 17yr old single mom kids that live in the apartments and want to be little G's since they dropped out also love these cars. i've owned trucks, vettes, mustangs. nothing seems to bring out the slime ***** quite like my integra does.
that said once i kill the 3rd motor in my integra i'm getting another corvette. i just HATE most of the people that are really into 92-01 hondas

Re: How Often Are Integra's Stolen
I you really want to get scared, look up "how to steal a honda" on youtube. Its all in the ignition switch, they are poorly made and can be turned with any Honda key if you just shake it the right way. Kill switches are your best friend.
