WAY to many things that come in play.
how it was built
what parts were used for the build
was the engine rebuilt from the bottom up or just slapped the block and head together
what kinda upgrades/fuel managment/ecu
how hard do u drive it
theres way to many things
drive it and see how long it last if it blows early driver error, or engine built poorly
or combination of both
or the engine is built right and kids think they can rev it up to 10,000 rpms

Re: (Ba4)
im sure enough not even trying to rev to 10,000....im not too worry about driver error...im more worried about the engine being built poorly...its going to be just a straight head to the block slap on......

it still depends. Dont rev it to 8k unless you plan on doing something with those rods. Get the GE kit to make sure it seals properly. And get something like hondata or neptune ot make sure its tuned right.
If you dont take any short cuts its gonna last just as long as any other engine, the problem is alot of ppl just throw it together and thats why they have leaks and thats why they break going 40 in 4th

Re: how long will ls/vtec last me??? (ecks_fourttwo)
you really should just slap the head on and really expect something great
i would say the absolutely minimun in building a ls vtec would be atleast some b16 pistons and some arp rod bolts. arp rods bolts are only like 30 bucks and b16 pistons can be had for next to nothing
you also have to dyno tune a lsvtec. you cant just run a stock ecu and expect it to run right. it will run ritch as hell. so you need at least a vafc or even better hondata
