How do you torque nut on alternator pulley?
Anyone know what the torque spec is for the nut that attaches the alternator pulley TO the alternator? Also, the pulley spins both ways, how can you lock it in place in order to torque?

You need a pully clamp, or use a vice and rap it in a thick towel. Make sure not to damge the groves.
I had to switch mine and I used and impact and held the pully by hand. I just rapped it in a rag, so I didn't hurt my hands .
It worked fine, and I haven't had a problem.

It should spin. Check to make sure the pully isn't contacting the housing. does the shaft spin without the pully?

well i just reinstalled the OEM and imacted down it spins golden. So its the freakin clearance on the AEM thats the issue...heres apic of the back of the pulley u can see the contact surface. If theres one thing ive learned about Hondas is that NOTHING fits like OEM.
I could grind down some of the contact areas but that would throw off the pully balance no? expletive it im quite willing to write this off as a useless purchase.

Have you measured the pully groove offset with the stock and AEM pullies? Could a spacer (washer) be placed behind the AEM pully?

brilliant Dogginator! i used one of my brand new drive axle c-clips i had laying around and it worked like magic. its not that thick that it would offset the belt operation. If I have any more trouble with this however, im ditching the AEM. there are zero gain imho.
Again thanks man.
