Changing Timing Belt...List of Parts?
Like the topic states, I am in dire need of a timing belt and water pump change. I think I have pretty much most of the parts and wanted to know what was definitely needed and what was a good idea to replace.
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Water Pump Gasket
Cam Seals
Crank Seal
Valve Cover Gasket
Spark Plug Well Seals
Valve Cover Grommets
Timing Belt Tentioner
Did I miss anything? Thanks for the help.

Also, I was looking at these kits on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
Should I get the first one and get the VALVE COVER GASKET, SPARK PLUG WELL SEALS, VALVE COVER GROMMETS seperately or get the second one and get the tentioner seperately...?

Thank you thank you......bow and walks off stage.
I would also stick with OEM for the seals and the timing belt. I went for a bosch water pump and it has been fine. I also went for jsut normal accessory belts.

Dude just buy the OEM Kit and be done with it. Considering you dont know what you need to actually do a timing change i'd prolly go to a professional .

DuDe...Ok Bro...I am going to have it done by a professional. But If I get the parts for half of what he buys them for I will save that much more money. I know math is a hard concept for some people, either that or they **** out money. My friend is a mechanic and he does all my stuff. I watch and learn and he gets paid...not a lot but I do appreciate his time and effort. He said he would do it for around $200 bux, which beats 800 from the dealer. /thread

I'm pretty sure the 200 bucks was intended as the "labor" only
"Hints this whole thread is about him making sure he has bought all the gaskets and belts and parts........ that should be tended to when the mechanic goes in for the job....."
