looking at this gsr, please stay serious have some questions.
Ive been on the market for a CLEAN gsr for awhile now and finally came across one about 2 hrs from me. i found it on cars.com
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national
I didnt want to drive all the way down there for just a test drive but as luck would have it i had to run to indy yesterday for a hockey game so i stopped by. Its apparently a florida car and has zero rust it has been broken into at one point, the rubber on the door is all tore up and a saw a tiny bit of unswept glass on the floor. The dealer also said they put a new ignition in it Anyways for the price i thought that it was still pretty good
The only thing I noticed was that I couldnt get vtec to engage. Now i wasent beating on it by anymeans but I did get on it a little bit and couldnt feel anything like i thought i should. It was in the low 20's yesterday and the car did idle for about 15 mins before i took it out onto the street, i also did alot of driving before i got on it. There were no lights on in the dash or anything so maybe.
I dont wanna make any stupid decisions and im tryin to not sound like a newbie but cars like this are hard to find around here. It did not come with a carfax but is showing 19 reports so that kinda had me wondering as well. For the price is it still worth it

Judging by your description I would say keep looking. You can get something cleaner for that price. Its been broken in/stolen and VTEC doesnt engage? Sounds like a no brainer. Don't worry, something will pop up.. good luck..

Looks like the front bumper has been painted, could be a front end damage? And yeah I wouldnt do it.

I finally bucked up and paid the 34 dollars for a carfax and the only that came back on it was a BRANDED:not acutal mileage title.

I have seen alot of cars painted and a low mileage cluster popped in it. Price is pretty hi to me. Keep looking. I bought a 99 4door gsr for 4200 with 106k.

$7000 for a 11 year old car with over 100,000 miles and not in mint condition is too much, there are better deals out there. 94

Holy over priced gsr batman. You can find better for less. Keep looking. Dont buy a problem unless its really worth it an you know you can fix it. I've seen reasonably clean ITR's for around $9000 these days. $7000 for that gsr is just to much considering its past.

heck I'd sell him my fully built 4 door supercharged GSR for 12 and everything is brand new on it. fully sleeved motor the whole nine yards.

With 19 reports, the price, the front bumper being repainted, carfax showing not actual mileage, I say you look elsewhere. The good things does take time to come, so patience is what you need. It took me a while before I purchased my car, with zero accidents (all original vin stickers on all panels, and one owner). Just keep waiting bro, you'll find the right one sooner or later, and a better price too!

way too expensive. i paid 5600 for my 2000 gsr with 81k on it but it was totally virgin and the only two owners were females so i know it wasnt beat on. there are better deals out there for sure

I paid $3000 for a 2000 GSR and feel I may have paid a bit too much since I had to do some repairs to the car myself. Car had $180k miles and I got it from the original owner. I would say keep looking and be patient. Trust me, as soon as you buy that car, not long after you will kick yourself in the **** after something nice comes up for less money...

Naw, musicians/drummers are truly neglectful with their cars--I had original 10+ years old plug wires falling apart as well as crappy AUTOLITE spark plugs in my teg when I bought it.
