Default High mileage maintenance 140k answers/suggestions needed

I got a hand me down GSR and these are things that were quoted at 140,000 miles:
"1.Front brakes 1.2mm to sensors. Will need front brakes and rotors turned soon... 130 parts & labor
Rear brakes 3mm (a/m). (i'm guessing is okay)
2. Cam end plug leaking...500 p&l
3. Clutch master cylinder leaking... 170 p&l
4. carbon build up, 3-stage flush... 60 p&l"

1. For the front brakes, i'm leaning towards Brembo OE rotors and Hawk HPS. These should add up to about 140 with me and my friends doing the work. Should i do the rears also, or is 3mm still good?
2. Cam end plug - There is oil leaking from the head and the block. If you stood in front of the car, it would be the left lower corner of the engine. Is the leaking coming from the cam end plug or head gasket. Either or, should it cost $500.
3. How difficult is replacing a clutch master cylinder?
4. Whats involved in a 3-stage flush for carbon build up?

Thins i have done already is engine oil, tranny oil, and air filter.
Other things i'm considering doing are the spark plug and wires, and fuel filter. I'm not sure when the last time the timing belt was changed if ever, but since it's at 140k and my sister maintenced it pretty often, i'm assuming it was done at around 90k. Any other suggestions? Gotta get the maintenance part out of the way before i start modding.

The leaking oil could simply be the valve cover seal (you should replace it, but it's not anywhere near $500...more like $20). If it is the cams then I'll let someone else more qualified answer the question.

A test you should have is a compression test. This is very easy to do.

Timing belt is probably the most important thing there...make sure it was replaced!!!

Working on the clutch bearing is a pain...I'd probably pay to have someone do it if you aren't very practiced under the hood.

sup man i just got my brakes done with Brembo Blanks OE rotors and Hawk HPS pads.. i think it came out to right around $140 shipped/taxxed... i got it from http://www.collettimotorsports.com from Steve Colletti.. customer service was very good, and it was shipped to me quickly...

it was $28/rotor disc for the Brembo blanks and shipping was $10 on each of the rotors.. the Hawk HPS pads were like $60 i think... i'd rather get new rotors than have them turned at a shop... plus i did the work myself... im sure the Hawks would be better pads than what the shop would give you..

I just hit 194k on my 94. Everything is fine motor-wise. I just need to fix my suspension... get some aftermarket shocks (I have been rollin on my stocks for about 100K already), get some GC, new motor mounts due to the old ones haveing wear and tear over time, new brakes and rotors. No leaks or anything.

Gsracerboi- i saw your other post while i was searching for pads, are you getting any dusting at all?

tweakmeister- thanks for the info

lsblackinteg- i'm still rolling on stock suspesion. just trying to get the important things out of the way first. But when i do, i think i'm going with bilstiens and a spring with a ~1.5 drop. I don't know which spring yet, still have to do some more research.

MT3C: to be honest.. i wash my car weekly.. so i really dont know if there is a lot of dusting on the rims after a long time.. i dont really let it build up as i hate driving a dirty car (inside and out)... i drive from San Gabriel Valley to La everyday and for the weeks worth, it does not dust all that much.. but like i said.. i wash my car every weekend.. so i wouldnt know how much dust would be on the rims after an extended period of time..

140k is nothing....i bet 5 bux that its the cam seal that is leaking, if so get an aftermarket seal like str and some hondabond and you can do it yourself. I had the same problem when i first got the car being the dumbass i am took it to the dealer and got it changed for 120. I paid about 200 for the clutch master cylinder. If i were you i would replace the clutch slave at the same time that tends to go with time as well you can get it out of the way (another 150 maybe?). Bleed the lines and new clutch fluid of course. Brake setup sounds good, i would also consider new stainless lines and brake fluid (motul). i have hawk hp's up front and yes they dust but if you wash your car regularly you wont notice. They also squeak a tad when cold but it goes away after a couple stops. I would also replace timing belt/water pump new fan belts while youre doing that, pvc valve fuel filter new plugs wires distributor cap, rotor and a valve adjustment. That should be over 1k easy unless youre doing everything yourself. Need any more suggestions?

I agree with MR SMith it is problay just a cam seal leaking especially with the spot you are desribing....fix it your self for 1/10 of the price!!!
