Help me out, starts and runs then stalls/dies
Effing first day of school, and car gives me frap. Drive to school fine.
After school, car starts, all is good. But its super hot!!! Then, in traffic around the school road-I notice the Tach ramdomly jump 3-4 hundred, slight hesitation. Back to normal... 15 mph roll, car dies. WTF? so, I kick in the clutch restart and it does, 5 seconds later DIES! ARG! Pull out and off to the side. Ands its not a sudden JERK where the tires lock up, just like as if someone turned off the ignition.
Crank and Crank and Crank, nothing, just crank. Wait a solid hour, and the car starts right up, cruz around the park by my school, 2 minutes and no problems. I return to the main road and just before I get there, it dies. Pull off and out again, wait, 30 minutes and try again.
WAIT, starts again just like before on the first try, after another hour, drive to the gas station douse the motor with water, starts right up. Driving it home, no problem....another 10 minutes.
So, park it, go in and eat. I come to it after 4 hours. Starts right up, and I just let it idle, no gas nothing, just start and watch/listen. so ya.
5-7 minutes pass and all off a sudden its as if the motor just DIES. Jump in, restart it and runs for 2 seconds then dies. Wait 1 minute jump in, starts up and runs for another 3 minues then dies like before.
You can help me out, share. Vacume lines? What. Possibly distributor, rotor cap? Coils? Some moduel? Fuse?
I know a little about cars, 4 years ago I was in auto tech, learned why what parts connect where. trouble shooting is a different story.

A friend had this problem. It could be a variety of things. Check your fuel pump. Replace your plugs.
His problem was he would be driving and it would just randomly die on him. I think it was his coils, so might wanna check that.
Just check out the oldest parts in your car first, and replace them if necessary.

this is a guess but some cars and im not saying tegs have a sensor or something of that sort that if the car gets too hott it could shut off the ignition to protect it...but i dont know if tegs have it cuz i have gotten hott before and it doesnt shut off...so im guessing my 96 doesnt have it
