Help: Car Boggles/Temp. Gauge Rising when Air Conditioner is on.
First off i had my car for about 1 year now and i notice my A/C was never cold. Also i noticed that when i turn on the A/C the car boggles, and when i would turn the A/C **** around the rpm would drop lower and then bak up again(boggling). And just yesterday i was on the highway and it was hot outside, so i turned on the A/C for 5 mins and notice my car began to boggle more, as if it were to die out. Then i realize my temperature gauge was almost on HOT. So i turned off the A/C and the temp. gauge began to go bak to normal. Does anyone know what is wrong with my A/C. Also wen my A/C is on the dash would shake a lot when im idling.
I've searched and found that my refridgerant might be low causing the A/C not to be cold. But can it be other problems such as a leak, compressor,etc...? Also what is causing the boggling and shaking?
Thanks.

The reason it may be overheating is that your A/C fan is not turning on when you turn on your A/C compressor. A/C will "bog" down your motor, but then the IACV will adjust so that your car will idle higher as it is under more load. I wouldnt be to worried about the idle changing when you turn on the compressor. If it doesnt pick back up then you have something wrong there. As far as the A/C not getting cool it could be a number of problems, leaking lines, no freeon(spelling?) in the system, or a bad compressor.
