Help! b18b1 civic blowing smoke/won't rev past 4.5k
I'm at a loss and need some advise.
I recently bought a b series swapped civic and it started acting up not long after I got it. It started blowing a lot of white smoke from under the hood and even had smoke come through the shifter skirt (or whatever the technical term is). Seemed like a head gasket so I got the stuff for it and I turned it on before I started the replacements and it's no longer smoking due to coolant loss. I replaced coolant started it up and now it won't rev over 4500 rpm (still not smoking). Can someone help diagnose this problem? Does this all just sound like a head gasket still or was I wrong about it?

Year, Make, Model.
A **** ton of white smoke indicates a blown headgasket, leaking coolant into engine. Look for a check engine light(CEL).

Engine is from a 96 Acura integra LS. But the engine not revving past 4500 still sounds like a blown head gasket?

Could just be from a coolant leak in the engine from one of the hoses. Blown headgadket will blow white smoke out the ex and mix with your oil making look like chocolate milk. I think its a coolant leak Which would cause the smoke in the engine and cabin. Top off the coolant and reset the ecu, just unplug the ecu or battery for a few mins then start it up it should clear the cell causing the limp mode restricting the rpm past 4500. Find the leak and replace the hose and bleed the coolant before driving.
