im not sure what you mean about does the tranny bolt on as is??? and yes it has to be right side up and shaftside to the motor... if your asking is there anything special about mounting to the tranny to a once automatic b20? then no bolts just the same... not much else to tell you... you just gotta know how to wrench....

ur going to be using the same tranny so it will fit the the chassis the same...
and the b20 is the same thing as the ls in terms of design except of the 84mm bore...
so it will all bolt up like stock... the only problem u might have is the mount on the timming belt side might need to be swapped out depending on what b20 u have. but u can just use the one from ur original engine.
i have 2 b20s.

bump, hey i got it all out and everything is on my b20 now, the only thing is im missing a few things..... in the back of the b18a theres a black box from the top block to the bottom which is not on the b20 ,the b20 is also missing a 2 prong plug thing thats in the back of the b18 , theres also some sensor missing i am told. so idk what to do right now . if anyone also knows a good solid way of putting everything back in order ( as far as wires and hoses for the b20 )because i dont wanna miss something when i put it all back in my engine bay and have to take it all out .
