well i take it that u are running a obd1 motor. have you changed your distributor...if not its most likely the cyp sensor going bad. if you try to start your car and it dies and wont start you have to get a new distributor...hope this helps....

so i take it you got the codes after your tune...cause most tuners wont dyno with codes...fix one code at a time....also your ecu will go into a limp mode and will not allow your car run to it full potential....

yea its been awhile since i got it dyno tuned. i wanna say 9months. all this started wen i got a ref ticket, i bought a obd2 p72 for my 97 ecu harness and my mechanic told me ecu was no good and after that i have been have issues. he said i had misfiring codes and idk wat else. im thinking maybe its the ecu harness but idk. wen i dyno tuned car, engine was in original car. i have swapped everything into another car minus ecu harness. it was too much hastle for me trying to take it out. its been 4months since i did the swap

i believe you might have a short in the wiring harnes for cyl #1, check the injector clips on back to the main harness, see if theres a tear or rip or pinch in the wiring, it can also be a short in the harness your using.

Ill check it out wen im off work. I get off at 630pm usually. I hope its just pinched. Wen i give it gas a cud hear the engine stutter a bit. Only in the beggining seconds of me giving it gas will it stutter. Its not a huge difference but i cud tell it never did that before. Thanks for the info

also check spark wire #1 check both ends as well as inside the dist. cap. and rotor. i dont think a bad knock sensor would cause this but not sure..

I am having a similar issue. I have a 96 hatch with a d16y8. I recently installed a ebay turbo kit. Car ran before. Now it's going in to limp mode. Will not rev past 2300 rpm and throwing cel 9.

I am running a cipped p28 (chrome base map) with a odb1 jumper harness and odb1 550cc injectors. The funny thing is when I switch back to the odb2 ecu and orginal fuel injectors. Car will rev all the way and no cel.

Side note the crank pully sensor is not hooked up. How is it able to run with odb2 ecu and not throw a code. But when I plug in the p28 its throwing cel 9. Odb1 dont look for a crank pully sensor it's in the dizzy. Please help!
