guess I don't like my car, I use STP oil filters from AutoZone and used Valvoline MaxLife 5w-30 for years. I get plenty of stuff from AZ if it's convenient or they have the lowest price. And here my car is about to hit 300,000 miles. Yep, I sure don't care about my car.

I'm honestly not sure why I keep using NAPA Gold fuel filters. I think that was the only one I could find in stock one time years ago, and I just keep going back to them.

Im using an autozone water pump on my built motor, never had an issue with them. I think the whole "oem" or bust thing gets blown way out of proportion. Especially considering very few Honda parts are actually made by Honda, while they come in a Honda package and made to their specs, rarely is it ever actually made by Honda. Autozone parts have never let me down...

I've found that some aftermarket parts are as good as OEM, and others aren't. The primary advantage of aftermarket parts is that they are usually cheaper... but not always, especially when you get OEM parts discounted, such as from these dealers. I use aftermarket parts for some things, but the more complex or critical the part, the more likely I am to go for the OEM quality and not take the risk of possibly lower quality with an aftermarket part.

It's also worth noting that some aftermarket brands sell multiple parts with different levels of quality, different warranties, etc. For example, Autozone sells three different front brake rotors for the Integra Type R under their own brand names (Duralast and Valucraft), with warranties of 1, 2, or 3 years.

It's your decision - get whatever you're most comfortable with.

Autozone sells their own brand of fuel filter for the '94 GS-R (part number FF696) for $19.99. Delray Acura sells the OEM filter (part number 16010-ST5-933) for $20.29. So you're not saving a whole lot of money by getting it from Autozone instead of the dealer. And if the price is pretty close, I'll happily go with OEM. But again, it's your car, your decision.
