foglight wiring harness! solution!!
i made these as simple as possible. for those who is having problems with their foglight wiring or is planning on making their own.
the usdm version will work with aftermarket switches you find at a local pepboys, etc.
i recommend using a MITSUBA RC-2201 relay!!
i cant emphasize that enough. the aftermarket relays will make your foglights turn on when the switch is off. for those who cant afford a mitsuba relay, for it is a little pricey for a little thing, i found out that your honda ac harness has one!! so if you removed your ac save the relay or go to a junkyard, relays rarely go bad. good thing about using your ac relay itll come with a 4-pin plug so its easier for you to wire it to the relay (no more female spade connectors). and please make sure its a MITSUBA RC-2201 relay.
when using an inline fuse make sure its 10a, no more or less, you dont wanna keep blowing fuses or burn your wiring.
**im not responsible for any damages to your car, do at own risk**
there is also a difference between the jdm wiring and the usdm wiring. it has to do with how its wire to the relay and the option slot you put it in! for the jdm wiring you can use your foglights even if your parking lights/low/high beams are off!! usdm wiring you can only turn them on when your lowbeams are on.
so that being said, you can decide which one to use.
enough talk!

Re: foglight wiring harness! solution!!
relays rarely go bad? lol ever heard of problems with the Main Relay in so many Hondas?
I personally recommend using a Bosch 30A relay and relay harness, and wire the foglights so that they can only come on when the parking lights are on. That way you never accidentally leave them on. Wire the switching wires of the relay from the parking light power wire to ground, and place an interior switch on that line, then wire the other 2 wires of the relay to the actual fog lights.

Re: foglight wiring harness! solution!!
The reason i recommended the Mistuba relay is because its OEM and are available ready for wiring. But theres no difference using the 30A relay, i just trusted the Mistuba more cause the 30A burned on me, and yes I did have a fuse wired into it.
but Tony, which way are you looking at the relay? I wired the relay with the pins facing me. Ive used the same wiring to my crx, an eg, teggy and an ef wagon, both jdm and usdm.
the problem might also be your switch, jdm switches have some of the wires in a different spot and if you have an ebay switch its most likely that its also different. you can also mod the usdm switch to have a jdm function and vice versa.

Re: foglight wiring harness! solution!!
Hey guys I hope someone responds knowing this is an old thread. I wanna use this diagram to install some gen 2 prelude foglights with retractable covers. Could I just use this diagram to get this done since I have no harness or is there another diagram. I just need to know which color wire goes where and such.
