Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
Older Hondas were wired to run the fan even with the car off, I guess to help cool the engine down. But it shouldn't be running for that long after only driving 20 minutes. I would think the fan should only run 15-20 minutes or so at the most. It could be a problem with the fan switch or the sensor that controls the fan based on coolant temperature.

I had the same issues with my 93 1.8 integra. Check your temp gauge, and also check your radiator fluid. There was no radiator fluid in there, and I'm lucky I caught it before I did more damage.
If you haven't flushed or even checked your coolant, its possible its low and needs more. This would cause the car to run hot, and make the fan stay on for extended periods of time, even after you turn it off.
Good luck!

i flushed the coolant reacently and checked it. it was kinda low when i flushed it but it's good now. so im thinking it might be the temp gauge.

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
usually the most overlooked problem with the running radiator fan is the relay under the hood. when its a cheap fix probably around $5.

another thing im not a 100% sure but i believe in the under hood fuse box the ac cooling fan and the radiator cooling fan have separated relays if so they are the same part you can also swap them to see if that solves your problem.

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
The relays are not going to cause your fan to run after shutoff. The temp sensor (ECT) decides if it should turn on the fan relay or not. With older cars, the fan relays were hot at all times, meaning they could run the fan at any time, without any warning.
Sounds like you have a faulty ECT sensor that is coming on at a lower temp than normal. I've also never seen one run for more than 5-10 minutes after shutoff.
How does your temp gauge look after 20 minutes of driving?

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
evokiller666 if the relay is arcing then it would cause a closed circuit which will send power to the fan..heres a basic cooling fan diagram. the relay here is open. follow the positive wire going to the relay no power to the fan. but if the relay is fried and making contact well there you go. also in the pic you got the ect which can also be bad.

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
there might also be i fan timer unit in the cabin..which controls how long the fan stays on..if you just give up and cant find out the problem you can unplug the fan and run it directly to your battery and then to a toggle switch inside your car. the black wire to ground near the radiator and the white wire to the toggle switch and from the switch to the battery. its simple,no headaches its how i got my prelude right now for a year with no problems.

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
yea it seams simple but i relocted my battery in the trunk. so its a real pain to run wires but i think ill do that any way because it's alot cheaper lol

If you're going to have the fan on at all times, at least run it off of switched power (ignition 12V) instead of a switch.

Re: Fan won't stop blowing!!!
a defective relay can cause this issue. have replaced one before to correct this exact issue. have u replaced the relay yet evokiller666? also check for a damaged wire.
