after I swapped in my 2nd b16a into my integra.... i notice my car has been running really rich.... i USED to get 26-28 mpg on my old b16a (that was with a closer geared tranny AND dc 4-1 headers, jun type iii cams)........ also with my old setup, i only ran 1 o2 sensor, even tho the ecu is looking for 2 (stock jdm b16as look for 2 o2 sensors)

with the new motor, i get around 21-22mpg..... i also notice my a/f guage reading rich MOST of the time, even at idle (it USED to swing back and forth at idle)....... i'm even running 2 o2 sensors like i'm suppose to (i'm using the o2 sensors that came with the new motor, so they have about 30-40k miles on them)

anyway.... i'm not sure about the vacuum lines.... i MAY have hook'd those up wrong...... i'm also running a ITR intake manifold..... um..... other than that.... can anyone help me out? it's running really rich?

also i smell exhaust fumes often, so i'm wondering could a header/exhaust leak cause my car to run rich? i think my first step is to replace both o2 sensors with new ones....

oh yea.... and i'm running a fairly new cat... it was just an aftermarket stock cat for my car.....

btw.... when i say rich..... i mean RICH..... my HCs were like 500+ (suppose to be around 100) , and my CO was like 5-6% (suppose to be 0%)

please help, my registration is due in 1 month..... plus i wanna hurry and pass smog so i can put my turbo on.......

you should do something soon or that new cat you got will be crap.

lots of HC are not good for the cat, and they are bad for the O2 sensors as well.

good luck, I have no idea what could be the cause though..

do you have a chipped ecu? get a b&m fpr and gauge for like 75$ and hook it up... you can do some quick tweaking then

jus wat like 97integ said, F&M FPRand Guage... also could it be ur Fuel Injection??? i wouldnt kno sorry , but if u need an illegal smog check thing, i might might be able to help u there, only in S.Cal doh.. G~Luck

haha.... u mean "Special" smog check..... that's how i got it to pass last time.... had to pay $200 for a "special" smog check..... i do live in so. cali tho..... perhaps, i should just get another one..... but i still wanna know why my car runs so rich..... i guess i'll try getting a guage first.... then a fpr.......

oh and no.... i dont' have a chipped ecu.... stock pw0 ecu.....
