Excessive smoke on start up?!
I have a 1990 integra gs with the b18a1. When i start it up, a lot of white smoke come out of the exhaust. But once the car is fully warmed up it doesn't smoke anymore. I was told it could be burnt valve seals or old piston rings but im not sure. Can anyone help me out? Kinda has a rich smell to the smoke also

Mine was worn out valve guide seals, could be either or both of what you stated. Someone should know how to test it, but I dont want to give out misleading information so Ill let someone else answer

Burnt vavle seals or worn rings would burn oil, emitting a darker grey/blackish smoke out of the exhaust. You would notice the smoke more upon acceleration and not so much when you just start up the engine.
I'm not sure what rich exhaust smoke smells like.

Yeah i mean the smoke is pretty thick and it smokes for about 5-10 minutes until the engine is at normal operating temp. And its just a really strong smell from the exhaust. Thanks for the help though
