...piano wire like DC's? Or is it like EF's where you can unbolt it? I've searched but can't find anything. Gotta attack the rust on the shell I just got.

It is a PITA and even more so if you do not want to damage them, or the car.

I had a glass shop remove mine, [94LS] because they said they could do it without damaging them, NOT!!! the goof ended up punching a bunch of holes in the part of the trim that sits in the door jamb.

Ran across a 94 at the pick&pull and spent 2 hrs carefully "cutting" them out, best tool turned out to be an old 4" kitchen knife, [paring] that I had bent at a 45 degree angle at blade and handle.

I removed the inside trim and gasket and with the knife cut the butal, slicing away at it till I cut all the way through, being extra careful along the "front" so as not to damage the "wrap around" trim that sits in the door jamb.

Keep the knife blade as close to the cars sheet metal as possible to prevent damage to the rubber molding on the inside of the glass.

There are also two (2) "alignment pins", [clips] at the upper and lower front of the window, they can be a pain to cut around, I damaged 3 of the 4, they are molded right into the rubber and are not replaceable, however... my new glass guy, installing them today, says it is not a problem, they are only there to hold window in place until the butal cures, [production line] alignment is not an issue, we will see later today.

BTW, I said the bent kitchen knife was the best and it was, I did have to sharpen it a few times, [file] and I did have 4 diff. window removing tools, including the "piano" wire with handle's, [no good at all] hook knife W/pull handle, [would not go deep enough]window "multitool", [useless]. 94
