Depends on your area.
Use a thinner oil (5W-30 or 5W-20) in colder climates (Canada)
and thicker oil (10W-30 or 10W-40) in warmer climates (States closer to the equator)

0w-30, 5w-30 and 10w-30 are all the same at operating temperature. The low number is about cold, or not operating temperature, viscosity and lower is better, flows faster. Many threads on this on HT. Syn vs dino are your choice based on wallet and usage, many like synthetic for track and other hot usages. If you are measuring low oil pressure, low, and everything is operating normally, then Xw-40 could be appropriate, preferrably 0w-40.

i just use 5w-30 from honda. They recently switched to synthetic blend so thats what i buy now. The guy told me theyre planning on moving over to 0w-30 or something like that with the newer cars.

You're talking about the oil they sell(over the counter) or the oil they used in the drums? They're different. I need to do my oil change. It's free oil.

Castrol Syntec Blend in the drums

There's no "best" oil. I'm using Castrol GTX high mileage on my current Integra.

anybody have experience with Mobil 1 High mileage? Thinking of switching from the organic schwill the previous owner kept in it (I've owned the car about a month) to something "better" ... or am I just better off sticking with something that isn't a full-synthetic that could potentially find some new places to leak out.

I'm using the Castrol Edge 5w30 but when my engine get's warm it's starting to give a ticking noise (b18c-r) is it better to use the 10w30 to take care of the ticking noise? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your quick answer, can you inform me about the technic behind it? Why it's making the ticking noise when warm but doesn't do it if the engine is cold? What are the valves doing diffrent, don't get me wrong I just want to learn.

Thanks in advance.

A person I know who rebuilds engines claimed Hondas run better and burn less oil on conventional rather than synthetic. Has anyone with an issue tried that? I've never had an issue burning oil so I haven't tried, but it seemed hard to believe. Says he uses conventional in all his rebuilds and they never burn oil.
