eibach sway bar upgrade/review
Hi, I'm new here and this is my first thread. I have been driving a 95 LS sedan over a year and this is the first performance upgrade (or 2nd if you think shock and sturt replacement counts).
Even I'm a new member, I always do my research/read posts here. In my observation, it is rare to see review of sway bars. So, I decided to write one. Will post/update if I have experience with another sway bar.
compare to stock:
say good bye to that toothpick
say hello to another toothpick
as y'all can see, I have the eibach rear sway bar. it's 17mm(only 3mm greater than stock bar) in diameter, but the different is noticeable. I could feel the improvement at the 1st corner I took(just a turn to get out of my driveway lol). I played with it for a while, and I was happy about how much handling has improved. the steering is more sensitive and faster. At the corner I used to do 40 and thought it's the limit, I can do 45 without any problem.
BUT! the performance is not what i expected. I bought eibach because it's the cheapest aftermarket sway bar($130 from autoanything.com), and I don't have any extra $$ for a subframe brace.
For people who don't want to spend $ on subframe brace and afraid subframe to be teared out, I suggest you to save up for a ST 19mm bar.

I'd have bought a used one if I were you and gone 24 personally I don't feel 24mm I had a hollow ASR 32mm. Now that was noticeable, not bashing I just never noticed the 24 but good job on doing a review I never knew a 17mm existed.
used parts are always a good way to save if you're on a budget.

ASR 24 and 32mm bars aren't generally for the street. They're for specifically set up track cars. Those bars are so big that you have to build around them.
That being said....I don't think I would have done the eibach combo, personally. I'm sure the quality and fitment are excellent. And for a 100% street use car...this is probably a good combo. Its geared toward nice, safe understeer...and as OP said, you don't have to worry about the subframe.
I still think that the stock ITR bar and a brace is the way to go.
Although, I'm sure that people looking for an alternative will appreciate this review.

Nice review. I have run the ASR 24 on my civic and integras and cannot handle life without it. Jdm-r front bar is a nice upgrade too.

Thanks for the review. I'm prepping my GSR for autocross and plan to run in G Street. From what I can tell, the rear sway is a must-have upgrade, but a brace will jump you to ST.

you could probably get away with the bsq kit or beaks reinforcement kit and an itr 22mm bar in stock class.

Just like what "B Swapped93" says
According to the post sway bar - TI
Sway Bars - Team Integra Forums - Team Integra
My car(95 LS) uses 22.1mm front bar. So, i went to junkyark and grabbed myself a 98-01 integra bar, which is 24mm, for $27+tax. And bought end link from ebay for $15(yes, ebay stuff. don't judge me on that).
I painted it red to match up my rear bar. lol!!! Will have it installed by this week and let y'all know if the different is noticeable since this upgrade has a much higher price-performance ratio that any other upgrade in my opinion.

My car does not have over steer issues. If you are very amateur and approach turns way too hot under the right conditions it may want to come around but it's in no way scary to drive. A lot of it has to do with the tires on the car more than anything.
