Default Eibach Sportlines

Just got a set of springs of Eibach Sportlines from a homeboy. Does a 96 integra stock shocks support these springs are do i need to get new shocks if i want to install these springs on. And what is some shocks that would go good with these. SOmething not too expensive. i'm on a tight budget. And i'm guessing..camber kit will also be install since the car will be lowered. anybody have pictures of these sportlines on their rides? i wanna see how it look likes.

The sportlines don't drop the car that much so I think a camber kit is kind of overkill. Also since it's a smaller drop you probably could use your stock shocks, but if they already have high miles on them they won't be lasting too much longer. Something cheap I'd recommend KYB GR2s or Koni reds

integras with eibach sportlines, tend to sag in the back..so the back is lower then the front. unless you get it with koni yellows..so you can set the perch low in the front and it should be a better stance

I have the Eibach sportlines springs and I think its a PERFECT drop but hey if you have the $$$ I would buy some shocks and camber kit.Just to save time on the installed or save money if you are planning to pay someone do this.

Eibach sportlines springs with tokico blue shocks Front and Rear = $300
Ingalls camber kit Ff and Rr = $160
alignment = $50

total for my suspensions = $510

i think it will be fine, i got my car with a set on my stock shocks and 81k. now at 133k the shocks are still intact and the car isnt sagging in the back either. there is a little camber wear but nothing worth buying a camber kit for.

Wow, your car defies the laws of physics. lol

I have Nuespeed Sports that have similar spring rates and drop to the Eibach's, and I blew my stock shocks within a month, they did have 230K miles on them tho. Then I took some noobs advice and installed some GR2's, they blew within 6 months. I now have Koni Yellows and love em.

Do it right the first time or pay, pay, and pay again. I also took some noobs advice on not using a camber kit, wrong again, after an alignment, the tires wore the inside treads quickly. I got a camber kit and realigned, no uneven tire wear now.

Might as well just get new shocks... my stock struts lasted about 20,000 miles on an eibach pro kit. I upgraded to skunk2 suspension and am loving them.

Doesn't everyone here know (since they actually have Integras, right?) that the rear fender openings are smaller than the front? An even drop will always make the rear look lower, because there will be less fender gap. Hell, I've got my front about 1/2" lower than the rear, measured from the side jack points, and it still looks lower in the rear because of the smaller gap. I would have to go another 1/2" to 1" lower in the front to make it look even. Of cource, considering that the Integra runs out of front suspension travel long before rear suspension travel, why would we even want to do such things to a street car? Mmmm, riding bumpstops (did it for 6 months, never going back to it again).

What laws of physics would you be referring to?
If you're talking about common sense then yes a set of shocks with 230K miles will be ready blow out with a little abuse, but a set of shocks with 80k miles will be much less likely.
Also common sense is what works for some MAY not work for all, for instance people with eibach prokits and GR2's I know that have driven for 50k miles and no problems yet.
And in my person application of dropping 2-2.5 inches and not getting a camber kit I wore the OUTSIDEs of the tires far more than the insides, but then again I drive my car hard and make use of my stronger spring rates. So once again what works for some may not work for all.

If you're planning on just dropping the car for looks and still want your tires to wear evenly the go for a camber kit, if you're dropping the car for performance the extra negative camber is good for you. There's TONS of info on shocks, just search.
