DC5 Steering Wheel in DC2 - SRS BS
Ok after searching through countless threads about swapping a DC5/RSX steering wheel into a DC2/Integra, I've come to understand that this isn't a bolt on, plug and play conversion because;
-The connecting splines on the DC5/RSX wheel are opposite of those on a DC2/Integra, therefore you cannot just slide the DC5/RSX wheel on to the DC2/Integra column and then bolt on...
- The SRS wiring from the DC5/RSX airbag is a dual stage setup while the DC2/Integra wiring is a single stage setup, with the dual stage having 4 wires and the single stage having only two...
I've come to understand furthermore that in order to solve the wheel spline problem, I can either swap out my Integra column with one from an EK ('96-'00) and then the splines would match up. However with the SRS wiring, I'm stuck. With two more wires coming off the RSX airbag, the connector would definitely be different as well...fack.
Has anyone, I mean ANYONE...gotten past this SRS issue? I mean a fully functional RSX wheel with fully functional airbag...in an Integra? If not, does anyone have any advice on a way to approach it? Let's hear it...thanks.

I know it's not the same but it might help give you some ideas and whatnot....

That's the RSX or EP steering wheel into and EK writeup...it's got a good bit on the whole srs wiring and whatnot.

Yeah, after reading through it a couple times it seems that if I want to use the RSX wheel in my Integra, that I'll have to do so without the use of the airbag...then again, it was posted that wiring up all four wires in with the two from the cable reel may prove useful. More help on this topic is greatly appreciated....anyone?

lol my buddy down on the coast made that write-up, I had not seen it before.
No, don't go welding steering wheels to column shafts. That sounds like a BAD idea.

Did swapping a 96-00 ek steering column work in the DC2 Integra to be able to bolt a dc5 steering wheel up? I’m trying to do the same thing now. If I can’t get the airbag to work I’ll worry about that later. But curious to know what’s I need to get in order to make this conversion. Has anyone’s been successful?? Thank you.

What is needed to swap a dc5 wheel into a dc2? 96-00 ek steering colum? That it? Rsx’s Have 33 splines where as the DC2 Integra only has 29. 96-00 has 33 too.
