Re: da9licious' r3tard build thread
exciting last 2 weeks, I finished with my fuel pump and gas tank last week and after a few fuel pump primes ( and the tightening of a loose fuel pressure regulator) i was able to start the vehicle up in the first time in almost 7 years. i'm surprised how quickly it started and how well it idled considering the long time without, super excited. i've ordered the last few things i need ( new battery, hood pins, takata eyebolt, and radiator fan.) I also went to the DMV today to get a 30 day tag so i can drive the car to get my state inspection. coming down to the wire really, car should be "finished" before the end of the month ( still needs a paint job after all is said and done.) it's really exciting to be at the point i am after so long without driving the car. anyway here is a few pictures, i will have more and probably some videos soon! stay tuned...
some F1 mirrors, we will see if i like them after i drive for a while.
interior, simple yet effective. latest upgrade is the circuit hero shift extender connecting the skunk 2 single bend short shifter to the spoon shift ****.

Been a bit, got the car all back together and running. I have put about 500 miles on it trying to make sure everything is dialed in adjusted and functioning properly. I've taken a few pictures of it but honestly they are not much to look at, i still have a few suspension adjustments to make (lower in the front & alignment adjustments but its more or less how its going to sit in the pictures. I'm in the process of trying to find a painter that has the level of attention to detail that I desire. But honestly more interested in a few other things first. I have ordered a carbon fiber front lip and have spoon sports upper strut bars on the way, I also have window visors and side skirts to install, but all in due time. Thanks for looking.

I just front to back looked at your entire progress threat and just gained mass inspiration for my new daily integra. At this point im very excited for this virginia warm-cold weather to move on so i can get some real wrench time in since the shop i work in is currently filled.

This is looking great. I miss my DA. I think its time to get another one. Lip looks good too (as well as everything else). Just curious, where did you get the headlights? They look new. I know when I first got my DA in '02 there was still a company that had brand new one-Piece headlights but they were SOOO expensive. I went through about 4 used pairs trying to get the perfect matching pair. It cost me about as much as it wouldve been to buy them new. But that place hasnt had the "new" ones in stock since '04-'05. Anyway, just curious where you got them.

Recently I ordered a "mugen style" lip and decided to put my old fenders and bumper on until I get the new front end painted (paint is one of the few things that I hate paying for) you may also notice in this picture the sideskirts I made... vinyl wrapped in carbon fiber. i've been driving this thing around sans-hood for the most part, figured i've spent the most time under the hood why not show it off a little. I will be attending my first auto-x meet this weekend with the car so hopefully ( if i can convince my wife) i'll have some "action" shots of the car, maybe a video or two. Either way the car is still moving towards my original goal, still needs work but that's all part of it, thanks for looking.

my buddy took a quick video with my DA in it at a local meet. I really need to get some videos of this thing in action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0kx...ature=youtu.be

Re: da9licious' r3tard build thread
Attended my first autoX in t he DA about a month ago, It was a pleasure to be able to drive it aggressively and experience all the work i've put into it to get it this far. The car performed very well for it's first time out, need some suspension tweaking and a tune (possibly a new headgasket ) to put things in perspective most of cars ran an average time of 46 seconds on the course. the fastest car ran a 40 and i ran a 42. there were about 70 cars there I was easily in the top 10... anyway enough boasting, here are some pictures.
