Default Crank sensor question on B18B

I have a 97 integra gs and it has the crank sensor... My question will the car start with out the sensor.. Or do I have to bypass it to get it to start... It want to start but then nothing... Its timed and correct firing order...

This thread discusses wiring the crank sensor wires to the sensor in the distributor to trick your ecu into thinking you have it. I think this is usually done when putting an obd1 engine into an obd2 car.

I'm kind of confused what you're asking. Do you have the sensor hooked up and think maybe it's bad, which is why your car won't start?

No I bought a 97 integra with a locked up B18B1 and I have a B18B1 OBD1 laying around so I swapped out the engines on the obd1 I dont think there is a place where you can bolt up the crank position sensor so I just left the plug disconnected and had to bypass the sensor C1-C4 and C11-C14 crank to cam position sensor... I just got the integra started wow it took a long time cranking to get it to start one of the slowest first time starting engines ever ha.. Usually honda engine start or they dont...Took like 5 min. Like a lawnmower obd1 engine hasn't ran for 1+year...Open header for now need a nice exhaust.. It starts and I checked the cell I dont have the secondary o2 hooked up so code 65 came on.. I just spliced the 4 wires for the bypass no other cells am happy about that didnt have to depin the c1 and the ground wire... Here is a link to future members/problems... http://ff-squad.com/wp/?p=309 for obd2 a/b Thanks to omahaturbocivic & KATMAN
