Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
Ok. RSR exmags are harder to find than WS2's.. w/e i can find first thats cheap. With basic bolt ons, Intake, Headers,Full exhaust with HiFlo cat, would i gain like 15 HP ?? noob question. haha. I can get my car tuned for free so i mihgt tune after thsoe suimple bolt ons. Thats why i want to make sure i get a Solid setup for my exhaust.
I have an LS BTW.

Re: COMPTECH VS. Apexi WS2 VS. GReddy SP2
u know what guys...the RSR exmag is discontinued for the DC2....BUT on the RSR website if you go to the outlet part...at the end of the page there is a Exmag Muffler only for $150. that muffler is actually for the 4 door Integra. I didn't know that when I purchased it so yea. But I bought it hoping the shop can make it fit...All they had to do was cut the piping to the tip off and reweld the tip back.....it fit perfect esp if you are going to buy your own piping or take it to the shop. hope that helps

ehh. i think i'm good with a GSR tranny. o well, headers i'm gettin for 50 bucks, intake i alrady have, and exhuast i'm gettin super cheap. maybe total of 400 tops. and a Free tune. LS motors aren't the best tho. =/ possibly LS-T later on. But i ugess im' gona look for WS2 or RSR with magnaflow piping or Type R piping.

well. it will be LATER if i do. maybe next year. i jsut want to drive my car for now and have a bit of fun. But Possibly NEXT year i will go turbo. Thats why i really don't want to get a 3" exhaust now. It's annoying. haha

WS2 SUUUUUUCKKKS!
not Raspy? are you guys crazy? That's the SINGLE raspiest exhaust out of the 4 i've seen listed.
For a good Idea of what exhaust to go with for yourself, or to listen to some of them youtube it. It's to bad you have a dc4, because when I had my SP2 the vtec crossover with a 4-1 JDM 2.5" replica header, with a test pipe sounded PHENOMINAL.
I personally don't hear any "raspe"
SP2= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRC8-GmqxPo
1:01 seconds...sounds pretty raspy to me?
WS2= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow-nnHLNrho
Again...pretty raspy.WS2 again =

Sorry, but I just personally wanted to save the man the disappointment of having a raspy annoying exhaust. This was all just my 2 cents.

honestly dude, with the mods you have, any "close" race you're involved in is just going to come down to driver error lol. I/h/e really isn't going to do much, 20 horsepower if that?? which the guy next to you could have compensated for by gutting his interior on his car which could be stock ya know?
I'm not sure how much the muffler it self goes for...search? Local shop?
I've got an entire catback for a 4 door sitting in the garage that's been sitting around for WAY to long...maybe you could use the entire axle back? It's only got about 5k on it and garaged in the winter.

as far as the exmag goes, to my knowledge they're still almost impossible to get ahold of.
And also, my brother had an 01 gsr and was actually pissed because it was quieter then stock...that's not a joke either.

Lol. Sorry i didn't let you guys know. I'm not looking for Major Gains in Hp. i know I/H/E doesn't do that much. If i do to actually put some work into this car, it would be to turbo it. So these mods are jsut for fun.. plus i'm getting everything cheap. Only thing is Finding the stupid WS2 muffler.

I honestly don't even know why you're going to do this if you already know you are boosting it...
Are you getting a full catback system or are you welding a muffler to something?

catback. i'm doing this because i don't want to drive around for a year or more with a 3" exhaust. I;m too poor for a turbo setup right now.

They do look similar but the Hytech is 2.5" and the Mugen is only 2.36.
Cost-wise, I spent 2300 and got their header, b-pipe, a second b-pipe for using my stock GSR header with the cat and muffler setup when I take their header off, high-flow cat, resonator and muffler.
I'd say all in all it's a good deal. The quality is superb and it works together as a system instead of something just thrown together from various vendors.
