How is your PWR/CSF radiator holding?
I need to replace the OE radiator in my 00 GSR and want to get a OE replacement since this is a DD with no plans to boost, etc. I have read many posts about all the Koyo, Fluidyne, etc, that require additional mods to fit the condenser fan. The two rads I am looking at from PWR and CSF are direct OE replacements that retain original mount points and fans. Here is the link: http://absoluteradiator.com/ProductPage.asp?idProd=4
Anyone using a PWR/CSF fan for over two years? If so, how do you rate the radiator? If I get the CSF, it is cheaper but has plastic pieces like the OEM, which I worry about down the road. The PWR is all aluminum but costs more however it also fits like OEM with no mods needed. I need to decide which way to go. It's very hot here in Texas over the summer and I need a unit that can handle the heat as well or better than the old OEM unit.

CSF direct-fit replacement here, been in the car since March 2004 with zero issues. My thoughts are with that kind of track record (over 7 years and at least 140,000 miles without a problem so far), if it ever fails I'll just chalk it up as surpassing the normal life expectancy of the radiator and pay $120 or so for another of the same thing.

I ordered a CSF radiator for $86 shipped. Anyone knows if the automatic tranny cooling fitting comes already plugged or do I need to buy a plug since I do not need it?

AT ports are not plugged, but they don't have to be. They're just pipes for the ATF that run through the coolant passages. The coolant and ATF never touch one another. With a MT car, those pipes will just remain open and empty.

^ truth, i just called radiatorexpress and they told me the same. Just bought a csf direct replacement for 93 shipped. Oem one served me well, although i do wish it lasted longer. 112k, still got some miles left on it but replacing it as precaution.

Try 180K miles for an OEM. I cannot complain, that is a lot of miles. I hope the new CSF lasts long.

I got about 160K out of the OEM and around 140K on the CSF and still going... all in all a good life span for both I think.
