Default Comptech Icebox problem

does anyone have any problem?I replace the filter with brand new oil foam filter (the one came with the icebox when u bought it new). it throw a cel code p0113 (Intake Air Temp.) and on the cold morning car will start after 5-10 attemps (i knew it was short of oxygen) and idle high about 1500 when engine warmed up. So i put a k&n filter on without closing the icebox and the car running fine.

I'm thinking oil foam filter is too rich so oxygen couldn't get through enough that the engine needs to start and run correctly on colder weather. Does anyone live in the northern has this problem or just my car?

thanks

wtf are you talking about? oil foam filter to rich? Rich??? Oxygen? Keep in mind air is only about 21% oxygen, so dont use oxygen in place of air (as people do run N2O and other forms of "oxygen"). Air Filter has nothing to do with air intake temp...probably hit the sensor when replacing.

Sounds to me like the filter is over oiled.

Those replacement filters definitely come over oiled. Mine was dripping filter oil for a few weeks.
