SOON!

I just need to find a decent used bov or suck it up and buy a new one. Also need the funds to buy hondata and tuning time so most likely after tax returns come through. lol

People of honda-tech, help me out. Is a fuel pressure regulator absolutely necessary on a turbocharged setup or can it be done without one?

Yessir, they don't require re-drilling which is a plus!

what injectors are you using and what fuel pump?, they're $80 and can help a lot during tuning the best thing I can suggest is do what I did 255walbro and ID 1000's. I do have one its along the lines of a catch can you don't NEED it but it helps a lot.

Word, bov should be here today. Will post some pics when i get it! This should be the last mechanical big purchase. Otherwise just a few bolts here and there and we should be ready to install.

Thinking of getting the teg tuned at King Motorsports here in Wisconsin. I've heard alot of good reviews so i will be giving him a call and see if he recommends that i get a fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks everyone, and stay tuned for more

I would get a fpr. With the fuel pump you got it will increase base fuel pressure, which in turn will make more adjustments necessary while tuning. Of course there are compensation tables for that, but I wouldn't rely on them. Also, how old is the stock regulator? How much do you trust that diaphragm? If it fails and you end up replacing it it'll make tuning again necessary. I'd also get a fuel pressure gauge if you don't already. Otherwise you won't know what your fuel pressure is in the real if you go with an aftermarket regulator.

True, it's now added to the parts list that's for sure. With how expensive tuning is i wouldn't want to pay for that twice.. is it okay to mount it on the fuel rail or will the vibrations cause it to misread?

Looking good.

Did almost the same build when I was in college. Now it's all for sale. If you think this ***** expensive, don't get into rock crawlers.

This seems like a dumb question but i cant find an answer.. Does anyone know if i need to have an o2 sensor in order to get tuned? I've got a wide band but my car has never had any o2 sensors and ran fine..

you do know how a wideband works right? go look in your header or downpipe/cat you'll have one or "something" measuring AF/R get a AEM UEGO it comes with a o2 that reads and send directly to the gauge. Only way that would work is if it was tuned/locked in open loop which isn't practical or really feasible without a s300/aem ems v2.

Yeah ive got the AEM uego kit with the wideband o2 (havent installed it yet), but im wondering if i need to have another 02 sensor as well, like the ones that come stock with the car. As of right now the car has zero o2 sensors which i think is quite odd, i just do not know if i need any besides the wideband in order to have a successful tune.
