I had the same codes coming up on my 97 Accord. I researched this forum, along with some others and found that the P1399 code is pretty mysterious and covers a slew of issues. Some had luck with replacing the dizzy and cap, another had luck with replacing his injectors. I replaced my plugs, wires, dizzy and rotor with no luck. I then did some research on the EGR valve and found that could be causing the P1399, along with the other misfire codes. Before I replaced the EGR valve I cleaned out my EGR ports. Car has been running great since.

Hopefully this help...

Well it turned to be my valve....lol. After taking it to my performance mechanic(which i should've done first) I blew one of my valves on the head. So i just replaced the head because i didnt feel like resleeving the valve on my head. well hope you guys find your problems..

i am dealing with a car right now that came in with misfire codes. we did a compression check and all were good except #3, put the boroscope in and one of the exhauast valves was melted. so we pulled the head and installed a new honda valve then put everything back together with new plugs. (cap/rotor/wires/etc. had been replaced recently) now the car has good compression but throws the p1399 code an runs like *** so i would like to know if anyone has figured out why these accord 4cyl's are burning valves.

all four injectors sound like theyre functioning with the stethascope.

I think Honda should be made aware of this CEL. Maybe they can issue a TSB. I took my GSR to an Acura dealer and they couldn't figure it out either.

I get these at idle when my ECU is having trouble getting to stoch. Either the PO2 sensor, unsealed/clogged injectors or tune in my case.

Are any of you losing coolant? I have the same codes, keep losing coolant, but no leaks, so i think the head gasket is gone.

Have same codes (P0300-301-302-etc.) Been told by mechanic that it might be a blown head gasket.

I believe this was the problem in my case. I burning through about a quart of antifreeze a month, then I replaced the headgasket, ever since then, the CEL's haven't come back, been about a year now.

Getting a blinking CEL + lit ATTS light after running at a consistant RPM, be it idle or cruising.

Hate to revive this thread yet again, my 98 Prelude SH is throwing P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P1399. My timing belt went out about 3 weeks ago, and damaged some valves. Did a head swap to a head with good valves, valves have been tuned, timing is in, just changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, cleaned out the EGR itself and the EGR ports, still idling rough and making a poppoppoppoppoppop noise at the exhaust. As of this morning, she's also bitching when I start her up, just struggles for the first couple of cranks, then starts fine.

No loss of power from what I can tell, no loss of VTEC, but I haven't pushed to redline to see if I'm floating at 6800 or the typical 8100. Ideas on what to do next? I'm assuming check the injector connectors and the fuel rail.

Does the CEL blink only at low RPM or at all RPM?
Im having the same problem in cyl four...i misshifted and overreved. what could that mean?

I know this thread is kinda old but im having the same problem kind of. Well long story short, i misshifted into 2nd from 3rd cause my clutch was worn out and overreved it. i slowed down and was like wtf so i did it again. As i got home the cel came on ive changed the spark plug first thinking that was it but nope wasnt the problem a yr and a half later i decided to get a rebuild since everything was due for service come to find out that i had to slightly bent valves so got everything fixed and the cel is still on. Its still reading cylinder misfire 1&2 and random misfire. and the car is running rich too. what ive done to try to solve this was spark plugs, plug wires, dizzy, rotor, cap, switch the fuel pressure regulator, adjust the valves, new o2, maps good, iacv good, no air leaks. swapped the injectors around and still getting the same code. timing good. any suggestion would be great. thanks
